What your print is made of.
Two materials cover almost everything we print. Here is the difference, in plain words.
PLA
The everyday one.
PLA is a sturdy plastic made mostly from plants like corn. It prints crisp and clean, holds detail well, and comes in every color.
Great for: toys, decor, organizers, desk stuff, gifts. Most things in our shop are PLA.
One rule: keep it out of hot cars and direct summer sun. It can soften above 130 degrees F.
PETG
The tough one.
PETG is the same family of plastic as water bottles. It bends before it breaks, shrugs off heat better, and does not mind the outdoors.
Great for: workshop parts, car accessories, garden gear, anything that gets stressed or lives outside.
Every product page tells you which material your thing uses. Not sure what your own design needs? Ask us when you upload it.
