A small card you print once per spool to keep a real-color reference of what you have. Stack them in a binder ring and you have a swatch deck for picking the right material on the next print.

The trick is the customizer. Edit the OpenSCAD source to add your filament name, hex code, and the print settings you used. Print the card on the spool it represents and you carry the calibration with the sample.
